School Improvement Plan

Our school develops a school improvement plan that identifies our unique needs, goals and priorities, aligned with the Multi-Year Strategic Plan. You can learn more about Board priorities and strategies on the York Region District School Board website.

At our school, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive, supportive, and high-achieving environment for every student. Guided by our multi-year strategic plan and board directives, we are focusing on three interconnected priorities. Our educators are working collaboratively to deepen their understanding of each student’s unique strengths and needs. We strive to design lessons (e.g., Universal Design for Learning) and assessments that remove barriers and provide equitable opportunities for all students to succeed. At the same time, we are committed to fostering emotionally safe and predictable classrooms where students feel valued and supported. By modelling self-regulation strategies and offering meaningful leadership opportunities, we empower students to take an active role in shaping their educational journey. In addition, we are strengthening partnerships with families and community members to build trust, celebrate diversity, and create a culture of belonging. Together, these efforts ensure that every student feels safe, engaged, and prepared to reach their full potential.
