Mission and Values
In order to support the Board's mission, the mission of Parkview P.S. is dedicated to academic excellence through a fine balance of the three A'; the arts, athletics and academics - our school focus. At Parkview the staff and parent community value a well-rounded approach to educating children. Students are enriched through their participation in a wide range of activities that enhance student learning.
History
Parkview P.S. has served the Unionville community since 1966. As a result, Parkview has established many long-standing traditions, and has earned its reputation as "A Great Place to Be".
Facilities
Parkview P.S. is located on Fonthill Boulevard just west of Main Street (old Kennedy Road), Unionville.
The school was officially opened in 1966 as a one story building.
Additions were placed on the original school in 1967. Further additions in 1992 and 1995 have resulted in Parkview having 21 classrooms, 4 portables, a gym/auditorium and music room.
Parkview is wheel chair accessible with an electronic front door. Over the past few years the school community developed an accessible, environmental playground structure with wetland reclamation and aviary. Parkview now has a full sized library that also houses a computer/digital/video editing lab.
